There is nothing wrong with members of Jet Tone. Maynard Ferguson played it for some time and had many of them bear his name. However, you must ask yourself how it sounds? Jet is the tone that you play very flat? If you have problems playing with a big sound in the lower register? Did you ping? This is not the nozzle of the reader. Each trumpet has an opinion on what the members is the best. (and still plays), where reading makes a good sound and you feel comfortable. The lips of each other and some members feel better. I have over the years (Bach, Monet, Yamaha, Chilka, Warburton, Frank Holton), and the game can be played really distort your brain. If you find a sound that feels good and makes you the way you want it to continue to ring with him. I played the trumpet in B-MP old, unmarked for many years. Probably one can say that the Mt Vernon Back 1 1/2c is comparable. I found it by chance and what did I see a soft top. This is my most important place for BB, but of courseand have one for my cornet, and PIC Flugle.
